The specialized media Proximo named ISA’s company as winner in the “Latin America Power & Overall Deal of the Year” categories after issuing its first green bond project for USD 1,2 billion, the largest transaction carried out in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2021.
The electric power transmission company ISA Interchile was distinguished by the prestigious international publication LatinFinance in its “Deals of the Year Awards 2021”, with the ESG Deal of the Year award – or best sustainable financial operation – for the issuance of its first green project bond with an amount of USD 1,2 billion for a term of 35 years.
For the 5th year, ISA is recognized among the companies in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, which assesses the contribution and progress in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) matters of companies worldwide. This year, more than 2.100 companies, representing more than 45% of the global market capitalization, participated in the corporate sustainability assessment.
In October, the ISA Group subsidiary, ISA INTERVAL Chile, completed the acquisition of 100 percent of the Cartagena Barranquilla Coastal Concession. The concession comprises 146 km of highways in northern Colombia, and was acquired for an enterprise value of $577 million.
ISA Group through its affiliate ISA INTERVIAL Chile acquired the total of shares in the Concesión Costera Cartagena-Barranquilla – which is the head of one of the most important 4G projects for the connectivity in the north coast of the country -, Infrastructure Investor magazine noted and nominated this acquisition as the ‘Latin American transportation operation of the year’.
Considering all actions and challenges for 2021, Conexión Jaguar was noted by different entities for its actions in the mitigation of the effects of greenhouse gas emissions.
The FTSE Russel group included ISA Group in it’s FTSE4Good index for third consecutive year (2017, 2018 y 2020), index that measured the performance of different companies in regard of their social, environmental and Corporate Governance responsibility. All this to comply also with the ethical standards of the Stock Market, as the global standards for corporate responsibility.

Lawyer from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, with postgraduate studies in Administrative Law and Commercial Law at the same university, and postgraduate studies in Administrative Law at the Universidad de Salamanca. She has more than 20 years of experience in energy companies.
Systems Engineer from the Universidad EAFIT. MBA from the Universidad Tecnológica de Monterrey. She has studied Global Senior Management, Digital Transformation, and Executive Briefing at the MIT, Boston, USA; and Corporate Law, Marketing, Leadership, Strategy, and Negotiations at well-known business schools such as ICESI, Kellogg, Berkeley, and Wharton.
