- Colciencias granted this mention to the Company, for the deliberate and systematic work of its Innovation Unit, and the important resources allocated to activities associated with research, development and innovation (R&D&I).
The resolution issued by the Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Nation also granted recognition to ISA’s R&D&I team, for "verifiable results in terms of Innovation".
Another of the aspects taken into account by Colciencias for granting to ISA the status of Highly Innovative Company were the resources allocated to "conduct activities leading to innovation." In that sense, ISA has invested in the last 3 years, more than COP 80 billion in the development of innovative projects in the Energy Transmission business.
"This recognition in turn represents an organizational challenge and raises our awareness of our great potential to convert knowledge and ideas into value added," said Gabriel Melguizo, ISA’s Technical Vice President (D).
